Discover the Future of Science!
HITSCAT(Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Common Aptitude Test) is a comprehensive assessment that evaluates your analytical prowess, problem-solving abilities, and scientific aptitude—key qualities for excellence in our basic and applied science programs.
The School of Basic and Applied Sciences (SBAS) at HITS is a dynamic center of scientific excellence and innovation where fundamental education and research meets real-world applications. We bring together diverse disciplines including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Psychology, Aviation Science, Food Technology and numerous interdisciplinary programs.
Our unique blend of industry-centered and research-driven curriculum along with hands-on experience prepares our students to excel in the modern scientific landscape. Our cutting-edge facilities that include advanced labs, centers of research excellence, incubation and experiential centers along with globally renowned faculty members, empowers graduates to tackle real-world problems and lead scientific breakthroughs.
In today's interconnected world, international collaborations have become increasingly crucial. With an aim towards fostering knowledge exchange, broadening global perspectives and provide a competitive edge to students, HITS has signed over 150 MoUs across 42 countries that include Cranfield University (UK), Dongguk University (South Korea), Deakin University (Australia), Trier University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and Illinois Institute of Technology (USA).
Through these international programs, students gain access to a global learning community, connecting them with peers from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Moreover, strategic collaborations open doors to exciting opportunities for students to study, research and work abroad.
The Hindustan Technology Business Incubator (HTBI) and the Hindustan Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (HEIC) exemplify HITS’ commitment to fostering a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among science students. Established in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), these incubators provide platforms for ideation, experimentation, and enterprise development.
Through a series of mentorship programs, innovation workshops, and entrepreneurial bootcamps, students are encouraged to translate research outcomes into viable business models. The incubators provide faculty guidance, technical resources, and financial assistance, empowering young innovators to transform scientific discoveries into market-ready solutions that address contemporary challenges.
With a legacy of excellence and industry trust, HITS maintains a consistently high placement record. The SBAS Placement Cell plays a pivotal role in equipping students with the professional and soft skills required to succeed in competitive markets. Through rigorous training programs, aptitude development sessions, and mock interviews, students are prepared for successful careers in research, technology, and industry sectors.
Graduates have secured positions in renowned organizations such as Nestlé, Codeyoung, Naukri.com, Berger Paints, Trimble, Vedantu, Minosha, and LatentView Analytics. This robust placement ecosystem underscores HITS’ commitment to shaping scientifically proficient and industry-ready professionals.
Recognizing the transformative potential of academia-industry integration, HITS actively collaborates with corporate and research partners to create an applied learning ecosystem. Students benefit from practical exposure through internships, industrial visits, case studies, collaborative research, and innovation challenges.
Interdisciplinary research programs—spanning data science, material chemistry, aviation technology, and behavioral psychology—further bridge theoretical inquiry with practical implementation. Industry experts serving on academic councils and curriculum boards ensure that programs remain current, relevant, and aligned with emerging scientific and technological trends.
5 faculty members from various disciplines including SBAS featured in the Stanford Rankings for Top 2% scientists of the world. Reputed academicians, scientists, researchers and industry leaders are part of the faculty and staff team of HITS. Our educators bring decades of combined expertise, merging theoretical foundations with real-world insights to create an enriched learning environment.
