The Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Examination (HITSEEE) is a national-level online entrance test conducted annually to select students for admission into various undergraduate programs in Engineering, Architecture, and Design. This examination serves as a fair, transparent, and merit-based evaluation process, assessing candidates on their academic aptitude, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. B.Tech Programmes: Candidates must have secured a minimum average of 60% or above in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in the qualifying examination (+2 / Intermediate). The average is calculated based on these three subjects only.
B.Tech (Bio-Technology): Candidates must have obtained a minimum average of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology (PCB) in the qualifying examination (+2 / Intermediate).
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the A Level Examination, and English at the AS Level.
Students who have completed Class XII under NIOS must have completed Class X through regular schooling, or vice versa.
B.Arch. Programme: Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme must have successfully completed Class XII or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, securing a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. In addition, applicants are required to possess a valid score in either the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) or the JEE (Main) Paper 2 (Architecture) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). All candidates must also satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Council of Architecture and comply with the norms of the respective admitting authority or university.
B.Des. Programme: A minimum average of 60% aggregate in Science, Commerce, or Arts, or any other stream in the qualifying examination (+2 / Intermediate).
Indian nationals, residing in India can apply for HITSEEE 2026.
NRI applicants can directly apply under 'NRI Category' through the NRI application form.
Students who have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held can appear for HITSEEE 2026.
