The Centre for Research and Consultancy (CRC) at HITS stands as a cornerstone of innovation, research and scholarly advancement at our university. ELIGIBILITY

Ph.D in Engineering Stream:

  • 10+2+4+2(patterns of studies) or any equivalent Engineering degree.
  • 10+2+5 year Integrated M.Tech. programme,Integrated M.S Programme in Engineering 10+2+4+1 for Ph.D in Engineering(Foreign Degree holders are also eligible)

Ph.D in Non-Engineering Stream:

  • 10+2+3+2(patterns of studies) or any equivalent Engineering degree.
  • 10+2+5 year Integrated M.Sc.(BioTech) in Non-Engineering degree

Direct Ph.D in Engineering Stream:

  • 10+2+4 or 5(patterns of studies) or any equivalent Engineering.

 

HITS Ph.D Entrance Examination

  • The HITS Ph.D entrance exam consists of two phases. In the first phase, an online test will be conducted. The second phase involves an in-person presentation on the proposed research.
  • The duration of the examination will be 2 hours. All questions will be multiple-choice, with one mark awarded for each correct answer and zero marks for incorrect answers.
  • For the Regular Ph.D. examination, the question paper will contain 100 MCQs: 70 technical questions, 15 on English communication skills, and 15 on statistics and probability.
  • For the Direct Ph.D. examination, the question paper will also consist of 100 MCQs: 80 technical questions and 20 on English communication skills.
  • The question papers will be in English only.
