Under the aegis of the University Grants Commission (UGC), top universities in the country including HITS have stepped forward to answer the call of the nation to develop bespoke industry-oriented competencies based programmes in higher education to create employable graduates in line with National Occupational Standards (NOS).
The Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) is a 3 year undergraduate programme offered by HITS that focuses on skills development based higher education. The programme incorporates hands-on training in specific job roles along with broad based general education to ensure that the students are career-ready and can meet the emerging needs of our nation’s economy.
The curriculum is heavily industry-oriented and incorporates the emerging as well as immediate requirements of the related industries whilst concentrating on general education required for Under Graduate students to ensure a holistic education. Special emphasis is given to the practical and hands-on training aspects in the curriculum to ensure comprehensive training/up-skilling of the students in the discipline of their choice.
